Using the Wait Queue
The Waitlist Queue
Virtual and on-campus events typically have a set number of guests that can attend due to seating or facility limitations, student-to-teacher ratio requirements, or the technical limits of a virtual space. In ConexED, when attendance has reaches its set limit, users who try to register will see a Join Waitlist button as shown in Figure 1.
Join Wait List
The Join Waitlist button opens a form like the one shown in Figure 2.
Waitlist Registration Form
Once the guest submits the waitlist registration form, they will see a confirmation that they are on the waitlist as shown in Figure 3.
The moderator or other facilitators who open the Edit Attendance page will now see a user waiting in the queue as shown in Figure 4.
Edit Classroom Attendance Page > Wait Queue Users
A moderator or added facilitator can override the set attendee limit and promote a Wait Queue user to the Meeting Attendees by clicking the Promote button beside the user’s name in the Wait Queue as shown in Figure 5. Once the Promote button is clicked, a popup asking for confirmation appears as shown in Figure 6. Click OK.
Promote Wait Queue User to Meeting Attendee
Confirm the Action to Add the User
The user will then appear on the Attendee List and they will also receive an email confirming their invitation to the meeting as shown in Figure 7.
